Lewes District Council Local Development Framework consultation process

The first stage of LDF consultation process has taken place:

‘LDC is currently preparing a Local Development Framework that will, once adopted, guide new development in the district for the period up to 2026. The LDF is a statutory development plan and is presented like a portfolio of documents, which will each deal with different aspects of planning or administartion of planning.’

9 topic papers have been produced to stimulate discussion - Core Strategy Issues and Emerging Options Topic Papers. (consultation documents available at http://www.lewes.gov.uk/corestrategy)

It is important that local communities contribute to this process as it will result in planning guidelines that will help to direct planning decisions in the future.
